Fantastic drums and vocals from the African heartland! Flutes thrown in for good measure, too...

Ntentan is an Akan dialect which literally means 'web' in Accra - Ghana. Ntetan Dance Company, have strong family ties to Ghanaian traditional dances and thus seek its preservation through performance. They see traditional dances as gifts from nature and a legacy to be passed on to posterity through performance.

Nkabom is a local dialect that means togetherness. Its a merger of five traditional music and dance forms fused into one. It is made up of 'Nwomkor', 'Kete', 'Otofo', 'Bamaya' and 'Sohu'

A 'Waka Waka' performance in Delhi by dance troupes from Seychelles, Zambia, Sudan, Ghana and Senegal at the African Festival in New Delhi. This was held on the 18th and the  19th of June 2012. African dances are well known for celebrating a zest for life and a close bond with nature. The event was held at the Kamani Auditorium Delhi!

West African Drumming for Elementary Classroom Teachers By Dyan Branstetter | October 27th, 2015 Recently, our school had a West African drummer join us as an artist in residence for a week. Since I helped secure this great opportunity for our students, I wanted to ensure it connected to what was happening in our regular elementary classrooms. Rather than have one or two isolated experiences with our guest. I wanted to share a resource guide with our teachers, but I knew they were swamped with work. Plus, many had no experience in arts integration. In order to give them something useful, it needed to be a resource that required little to no preparation.
