SUNDAY, 9TH JUNE, 2019-IGNITE CLASS ON SATURDAY







1. Post AFRICUSSION ConFAbulation Performance reflections with Mike and Donna.
Mike impressed with progress made. Donna is happy and surprised at the teamwork and the success. Harold made some suggestions regarding prompts and interjections.

2. Donna's driver friend and her family of 4 joined us for the class. Rebecca of Nevada Arts Council paid a surprised visit to the class to take photos. Introduced her to the class after the session.

3. Invited a family that was observing from the window to join the class and they loved it.

4. Introductions and rolls, drums and voices, drums and communications, character building exercises and excitement on the parts of all students for the class.

5. Got the new family to leave numbers for further contacts.

West African Drumming for Elementary Classroom Teachers By Dyan Branstetter | October 27th, 2015 Recently, our school had a West African drummer join us as an artist in residence for a week. Since I helped secure this great opportunity for our students, I wanted to ensure it connected to what was happening in our regular elementary classrooms.
